Been super super busy getting ready for the button party i did last week! Unfortunately i forgot to take some photos! :(

New stock! My entire house smells like cinnamon at the moment :) I have been making cinnamon Stars, Russian dolls and Sachets for my Christmas shops. My kitchen looks like a bomb filled with buttons, felt and pins has just gone off and my living room....lets not go there..at least i amit im a messy worker!

I have been really busy over the last few weeks and while i was on my gingerbread man mission over the weekend i was listening to Queens greatest hits. Very motivating! It's amazing how much more you can get done when rocking out!

CHRISTMAS IS APPROACHING AT A GREAT SPEED!

Been super duper busy with Christmas stock all weekend, I'm happy to say i have a big order for strawberry blue. I have also opened my very own Christmas shop on folksy this year! Mainly due to me not being able to do the Ramsbottom Christmas market. All my puds have been entirely hand stitched and the trees are a bit of machine and a bit of hand. More designs coming very soon My thumb is so so sore! My designs are the same ones from my cards last year. Cards will be coming in the next month...or so (depending on the state of my right thumb!) YEY CHRISTMAS! BOO BAD THUMB :(

Baking

Been busy baking nigella Lawson chocolate loaf cake all weekend. we ran out of the first batch and just had to make another today :) seriously this is the nicest cake ever and i was so proud :D

EEEK Its been too long again! I really have been super duper mad busy this last week! Both with the strawberry blue stock and the folksy orders this week! I did manage to squeeze in a haircut though which i love! I'm just having a small blog update today as im off to laquer lots and lots of hairslides and earrings. I have a list of things to do longer than my arm and im both excited that things are going so well but also a little stressed out..but thats whats good. I thrive under pressure this is how i did so well In my A-levels and not so well in my first year of Uni where i got left to my own divises. I obvioulsy learnt my lesson from this and have now found quite a happy medium! Ill be back this week with more photos of the wooden shape decorations im working on. Ps if anyone is interested Lidl are selling solderings guns for only £4.99! AMAZING!

All Things Hearty

My new cotton hearts all finished at last! Ill be making some lavender ones too. I have already placed one on my welsh dresser and it looks lovely! Im now off to make some button hangies and some cupcake cushions! I promise not to leave it so long this time! STRAWBERRY BLUE

Today i took some more stock into Strawberry Blue in Rawtenstall, Rossendale really has gone button mad! (Not that I'm complaining!) Three customers bought my button jewellery just whilst i was dropping more off! Fantastic! So i really am mighty busy this week. Im also re vamping my etsy shop. Im having a HUGE sale of both fimo and button jewellery to make way for the new stuff! Im also Re photographing everything in etsy so it matches folksy. I love the wooden backdrop i have in my folksy shots. Im also designing new xmas lines! I know its june but a girls gotta get ready! so lots and lots and lots! I took some photos in strawberry blue as i really am chuffed everytime i see the behind glass..tee he he.

Well Ive had a super busy weekend! It was my Bfs birthday BBQ on Sunday. First family party together...eeek. It all went surprisingly well. My mum made some delicious marmalade, lemon and poppyseed, and double chocolate cupcakes! yummy! Here are some photos of the total yummyness!

ALL THINGS BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL

Well today i thought id share some of lovely buttons things i have at home. My favorite buttons are my two giant box ones from habitat. I also found this graphic print button cushion cover in ikea. I also really wanted to share my new table cloth ha ha i totally love it! It brightens up my whole kitchen and its water proof too!

Lots and Lots of work

I have been working really hard the last few days to keep up with my orders at Strawberry Blue, commissions, and bits for folksy. Today I finally opened my folksy shop yahoooo! I only have a few bits on but there will be more added in the next few days. My art room looks like a button bomb has hit it! I have had many tea breaks and I'm now off to clean up the mess i have created before my cats start eating the buttons from the carpet! All The Small Things

Well this weekend i have been busy! I have taken advantage of the lovely weather we have been having and have been out planting and pottering around the garden. We spotted our first guest frog on Friday! I have taken a photo of her in my pond sat in the shallows with the taddies.

I also caught CoCo Smelling the french lavender...
And the bumble bees are here! They are totally loving my Lavender and citrus thyme!

My Cats

This is Ninja and Coco Chanel mademoiselle my two adorable cats. They spend their days sleeping on the windowsill next to my desk. They don't mind listening to my music whilst I'm working but they do sometimes attempt to eat the buttons if i drop them whilst working :/ I had a little daydream the other day about how great it would be if cats could dance. I would totally love it if Ninja started busting moves to jurrasic5.

JARS

I have recently just moved house and I'm still trying to squeeze all my art stuff into my small studio/computer/spare room! Until I put some shelves up all my button jars are precariously balancing on top of one another. But as unpractical as this is they do make my desk look pretty :)

New but Old

Wow I have just received these amazing "New but Old" buttons in the post today! There all vintage and some of the most beautiful buttons i have ever seen. They even have the vintage whiff :)
I have already picked out my favorites to frame in my mini art gallery (my stairway) which include some beautifully calved, pearly, and stone ones. So i thought id share these lovelies with you guys. I have already started some necklaces and bracelets. Its quite bad that want to keep them all for myself!
