Not long to go!

So, it seems 2nd pregnancies fly by fast! I guess it's because I'm so occupied with little Reuben, I can't believe I'm already 36 weeks in! I'm so tired in the evenings now and to be honest I'm not really getting much work done at all. I will be closing my online shops in the next 3 weeks and I wont be reopening them for a few months.

I am however offering FREE UK & EU postage until Good Friday across both Etsy & Folksy

So this week is a great time to take advantage, save some pennies and bag yourself a piece of Realicoul jewellery. Whilst my online shops will be shutting over the Summer, you will still be able to buy my jewellery at Strawberry Blue in Rawtenstall and Earth Spirit in Hebden Bridge.

Right, I'm off. I really do need to pack that birth bag!

New Liberty of London Necklaces!

So these pretties are now fully stocked on my Folksy shop. I have made them to match my textile button brooches. They have a nice weight to them and catch the light beautifully. £12 each plus p&p.

So I am nearly 30 weeks pregnant and I already feel HUGE! I'm getting so tired already especially as my little dude really keeps me on my toes. Looking after a 2 and a half year old all day whilst pregnant sure is hard. The last two days have been easier as its actually NOT chucked it down HOORAH! So I have managed to keep him busy 'helping' me in the garden.

I am attempting to get on top of my work load and stock up on my jewellery. I can only work in the evenings now as Reuben no longer takes a nap unless I lie next to him. Which is a bit of a pain but at the moment I'm thankful of the rest! My online shops will be closing at the end of April/May. I wont be taking any custom orders over the summer and you'll need to get them in before April to avoid any disappointment.

Right well I'm off to get a bru and make a to do list! Please head on over to the Realicoul facebook page for more regular updates.

Happy New Year SALE!

Happy New Year Lovelies!!!

Well, I haven't been on for a while, but i have good reason! Last year was my busiest year yet with Realicoul. Not only was I doing a Craft/Art fair every weekend from Sep-Dec I have been growing another baby! I am now 21 weeks in, I had my 20 week scan on Christmas Eve and everything was perfect. We are not finding out the sex of the baba. We didn't find out with Reuben, and to be honest he was about 5 minutes old before we even realised we had a little boy, we were too taken back by the fact that we had baby haha.

So here is a little photo from Christmas eve...
See you in May little one!

Me and my boy on board the Santa canal boat on our trip to Oxford a few weeks ago.

My shops have been closed for the holidays and I have just re opened them with a whopping sale. I would like to clear some lines and colour ways so knock yourself out and grab a bargain. Some lines have up to 50% off!

I will try my best to keep a blog post at least every month. My shops will be open up until May when I will be taking some time out to have the baby and get myself organised with two little ones under the age of Three! If anyone has any tips regarding the issue of looking after a newborn and a boisterous almost three year old feel free to share them with me!

All the best for 2014 folks!

Wayne Hemingway's Festival of Thrift!

Tomorrow morning me and my friend and fellow maker Sam from Hoolala are taking a road trip up North! We're off to showcase are wares at the marvellous Wayne Hemingway's Festival of Thrift in Darlington, UK.
I am super excited as I have never done an 'over night' fair before. This event promises to be amazing, with celebrity thrifters and workshops going on all weekend from the art of screen printing to Bee keeping.
It should take us about 2 hours to get there and so its going to be a VERY early start!
I am taking along some lovely new stock too, of which you will hear more about next week! Now if I can remember to pack my camera I shall do a little photo gallery of the event in my next blog post.

So if you up North or fancy a thrifty weekend filled with fun, pop on over and say hello! http://festivalofthrift.co.uk/

Terrible twos, Chicken Pox, and Vintage Buttons!

Well last week our little boy turned 2! I cannot believe how fast the last few years have gone. It really does fly by. It's getting a little bit more 'challenging' working from home now with Reuben. I can pretty much only work at night now once he has gone to bed. It's certainly hard work but at least I can give him all the attention he needs by day :)
My little man

Last week was also a rather hectic week filled with Chicken pox and two wholesale orders! Now that was a challenge lmao. I got there in the end though!

This weeks plans include shoe shopping for Reuben, planning my bathroom makeover and getting ready for the début vintage event at the Green Chimney in Colne, Lancashire. It promises to be a corker. It's a great little place with the tastiest food upstairs and a funky craft and vintage event downstairs. What more could you ask for?

I have been super busy making lots of gorgeous new button jewellery from my huge vintage button hoard. Here are a few photos to get your vintage taste bus going..
